Botley Flour Mill History

Botley flour mill has a rich history that dates back to the 11th century. It has been a significant part of the village’s identity and economy for centuries. The mill was owned by the Duke of Portland between 1536-1775, with the oldest part dating back to 1770. Over the years, the mill has evolved from a flour mill to a craft and business center, reflecting the village’s adaptation to local resources and needs. The mill’s architecture and machinery are preserved for public viewing, offering insights into the milling processes and the local heritage. The Botley Flour Milling Company continues to operate, providing a glimpse into the mill’s past and its ongoing role in the community

We started in the lower part of the museum which was next to a small river with a water wheel next to it ,we = were standing on the ground floor and there is 3 floors to this building we had a lots of noise right from the beginning of the evening

we then went to the second floor where we did some calling out and placed a ping pong ball down which was illuminate when charged by touch light and as we called out the ball was away from us it started to move towards us very strange

From there we went to the top floor to do some research EVP recordings and had a laser grid set up by the stair case we started calling out and what we thought was a shadow moving across the grid and checked for any response on the recorder and what we got was Dvp (Direct Voice Phenomena)with a woman’s voice saying floor company great caputure so all in all was a great night with great guests
